Template variables of custom fields

After a practice manager makes a custom field, ezyVet automatically makes a related template variable for it. The practice manager can add the template variable of the custom field to ezyVet templates. As a result, documents, labels and other types of content can show custom field data.

For example, a practice manager can make a custom field for staff to record driver license numbers in client contact records. Because ezyVet also automatically makes a template variable for the custom field, staff can quickly and easily make documents that show the driver license numbers.

The Template Field Name Suffix box of a custom field configuration shows part of the template variable of the custom field. To fully complete the custom field, add Contact, Patient, or Appointment before the information that the Template Field Name Suffix box shows. To know when to use Contact, Patient, or Appointment, refer to the Custom Field Relation setting of the custom field configuration.
