Make a permissions role

A practice manager can make a permissions role that is applicable to the work that staff of their organization do.

To make a permissions role, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin tab
  2. In the settings list, select Users/Resources.
The Users/Resources setting in the settings list
  3. Select Roles.
    The Roles setting
ezyVet shows a New Role screen.
  4. In the Name box, enter a name for the permissions role.
    The Name box
Note: Use a name that is applicable to the work that staff who will have the permissions role do. For example, if you want to make a permissions role for accountants, you could enter the name Accountant.
  5. If applicable, select Is Key Role.
Note: The Is Key Role setting is only applicable to organizations that use ezyVet centralized inheritance. If you select Is Key Role, staff that have the applicable user account permissions can disable, set, and make changes to the role. If your organization does not use centralized inheritance, you can ignore the setting.
  6. Use the Role Group setting to identify the type of work that staff who will have the permissions role do.
    Note: The Role Group setting:
    • Does not change the function of a permissions role
    • Does not change other functions in ezyVet
    • Does not change how you use ezyVet

ezyVet staff use the setting information only to help build new features for the Vet app.

  7. Select the applicable user account permissions.
  8. Select Save.
    The Save button
    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

ezyVet has the permissions role.
Add the permissions role to the applicable user accounts.
