Mass Communications: Make an email and send it to only some clients
After you make an email, you can send it to only some clients.
To make and send an email, do this procedure.
Note: Email filters for mass communications is a beta feature and is only available for specified customers. If you want to try the beta feature, send an email to vello-product-team@idexx.com.
Note: Only practice managers can get access to the Mass Communications feature to make and send email.
Open Vello from ezyVet.
In the left sidebar, select Mass Communications.
Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the mass communications button:
Select New Communication.
Note: if you want to make changes to a draft email, select the horizontal ellipsis ( ⋯ ) that shows adjacent to the applicable newsletter. Then select Edit:
Vello shows a Details dialog box.
In the Name box, enter a name for the email.
Note: The email name shows only to you and to other staff.
In the Description box, enter general information about the newsletter.
Note: The Description information shows only to you and other staff.
In the Email Subject box, enter an email subject.
Select Next.
Vello shows a Content dialog box. The dialog box has a content builder:
Add images, text, and links.
If you want to add sections to the email, select Add Section as necessary.
To do a check of the newsletter content, select Preview.
When the newsletter content is prepared, select Next.
Vello shows a Recipients dialog box.
Select Send to filtered clients.
Vello shows a set of available filters.
Set the filters as necessary (for example, if you want to send an email that is only applicable to canines, select the species in the Species section).
Select Send or Save Draft as necessary.
Note: When you select Send, Vello sends the email immediately. Vello cannot schedule an email to automatically send at different times. If you want to send an email at a different time, you can select Save Draft.
