Vello client portal: Pet information screen

The pet information screen makes it easy for clients to get access to information about their pets. The screen is a part of the Vello client portal.

Information shown in the pet information screen

The pet information screen gives a client access to this information for each of their pets:
  • Name
  • Breed
  • Sex
  • Weight
  • Age
  • A recommended care badge that helps the client know about standard of care for their pet (if you activate and configure Vello's recommended care feature)
  • Their pet's next scheduled appointment
  • A medical records section with buttons that the client can select to get access to the applicable medical records (for example, previously prescribed prescriptions)

Information that shows in the pet information page is synced from ezyVet.

Note: The client portal shows pet information screens for active patient records. The client portal does not show pets that are not in your care.
Note: To get access to a deceased pet's information, a client selects Manage my pets in the Settings screen.

Pet photos

Clients can use the pet information page to add, change, and remove pet photos. If a pet photo changes in the Vello client portal, the pet photo in the patient record in ezyVet does not change. When a client signs in to the Vello client portal for the first time, Vello tells the client to upload a pet photo from their device.

Changes that clients can make

If you do the necessary configuration, clients can select Update in the applicable pet information screen to make changes to their pet's information. For example, a client can:
  • Change the pet's name, age, color, breed, and sex
  • Tell your practice that their pet is deceased
If you activate and configure online booking, clients can use the pet information screen to make appointments.
Note: A client cannot make changes to their name or address information. If these changes are necessary, make them for the client in ezyVet. Then, ezyVet will sync the changes to Vello.
