Release notes: ezyVet version 45.8
ezyVet version 45.8 is available from September 8, 2026.
Changes to the Xero integration
When ezyVet adds a new contact record to Xero, ezyVet adds the contact code of the client to the end of the contact name. For example, the contact name in Xero is Mr Riker, Will (200019). The contact code is the same as the Contact Code value in Xero. As a result, two or more clients with the same name can sync to Xero. Previously, if two or more clients had the same name, ezyVet could sync only one of the clients to Xero.
ezyVet does not add a contact code to contact records that were in Xero before this change. Thus, Xero can show some contact names with a code and some contact names without a code. The name of the client in ezyVet does not change.
Fix for picklists
ezyVet shows products that are not available in picklists as a gray color and shows Unavailable as an alternative to the price indicator. When you select a product that is not available, ezyVet shows a message. The message tells you that ezyVet did not add the product because it is not available in the selected department.
- ezyVet added the product to the clinical record and then removed it
- ezyVet showed an error message
Fix to deactivated batches
When you deactivate a batch, ezyVet makes an automatic inventory adjustment. The inventory adjustment changes the batch quantity to zero. For some batches, the inventory adjustment incorrectly did not change the quantity to zero. Thus, the batch quantity and the inventory movements of the product record did not agree.
On Monday, September 28, 2026 NZDT (UTC+13), ezyVet will change the incorrect automatic inventory adjustments to set the batch quantity to zero.
Because ezyVet will correct the inventory adjustments, it is not necessary to manually make inventory adjustments to correct the incorrect ones. If you manually added an inventory adjustment to correct an automatic adjustment, deactivate it before September 28, 2026.
As an alternative, speak to ezyVet customer support before September 28, 2026.
Other fixes
ezyVet correctly prints content that you paste from Word for the web into a document (for example, a discharge summary). Previously, the printed PDF could incorrectly show black lines under some words, or boxes at the end of paragraphs. This occurred although the content showed correctly in the editor.
ezyVet system settings: In the Column settings header of the Properties: Invoice Item tab, ezyVet correctly shows the width of the two columns. Previously, ezyVet did not show the columns correctly.
