IDEXX PetDetect and ezyVet
IDEXX PetDetect is a system that you can use to print temporary identification labels for patients directly from ezyVet. The label dimensions of the PetDetect system use a collar format.
The information that the collar labels identify can include:
- Patient owner
- Appointment information (for example, why an appointment was necessary)
- Demeanor
- Medications
PetDetect collar labels:
- Help you to decrease the time necessary for patient check-ins
- Help you to increase patient safety (for example, because a collar label can clearly give a patient demeanor)
- Help you to monitor the clinical information of patients

To use PetDetect with ezyVet:
- Install the PetDetect drivers for your device
- Make sure that the PetDetect printer operates correctly
- Configure ezyVet label templates that have the correct dimensions for PetDetect collar labels

Note: ezyVet does not have a dedicated
integration for PetDetect. An integration is not
necessary to use PetDetect with ezyVet.
Recommended dimensions for PetDetect label
templates
This table shows the recommended width, height, and margin values for a label
template that a practice manager configures to use with PetDetect:

New ezyVet sites have a set of configured label templates
for PetDetect. Thus if you are a new ezyVet customer, it is not necessary to configure label
