Checks before you deactivate a user account

Before you deactivate a person’s user account, it is important to do a check of their User Access setting. The check is important because the User Access setting controls if the person has appointment data kept in their user account.

If the person’s user account has appointment data, move the data to the user account of a different person before you deactivate the user account.

The User Access setting is in the Details tab of the user account’s configuration:
The User Access setting
Note: If your site uses a department configuration, ezyVet shows a full User Access section in the user account's configuration:
The User Access section

If User Access is set to Can Be Booked or Available To Book, it is possible that the user account has appointment data. If necessary, do the procedure given in Change the staff member of appointments to a different staff member to move the appointments.

If User Access is one of these settings, it is safe to deactivate the user account:
  • No Access
  • Member
  • User Only
