About the VETGENUS integration

The VETGENUS integration gives your organization access to the VETGENUS system. VETGENUS uses artificial intelligence to give you important diagnostic and treatment information. And VETGENUS has different tools that you can use to give better patient care and decrease consultation time.

Note: The VETGENUS integration is available in the United States only.
The VETGENUS integration gives you access to these VETGENUS features:
  • Triage assistant
  • Admissions assistant
  • Clinician dashboard
  • Rounds tool

The admissions assistant

After a practice manager configures the VETGENUS integration, ezyVet has a Triage and Admissions SMS template. You can use the SMS template to send an SMS message to clients of patients that must have emergency veterinary care. The SMS message has a link that clients can use to complete questions about the patient's health status.

The triage assistant

The VETGENUS triage assistant uses the completed questions to automatically give the patient one of three statuses:
  • STAT
  • Serious
  • Stable
VETGENUS uses the status to show the sequence of patients in the Waiting room section of the VETGENUS clinician dashboard:

The clinician dashboard

A VETGENUS account includes a clinician dashboard. You can use the clinician dashboard to:
  • Record important patient information (for example, patient history)
  • Do a check of a client’s completed questions of the admissions assistant
  • Do a check of a patient’s vitals information
  • Record the results of a patient’s physical exam
  • Select an assessment of a patient’s symptoms
  • Send consent forms to clients that have a cost estimate of veterinary care
  • Record veterinary care information (for example, diagnostic test requests, medications, and clinical care plans)
The clinician dashboard uses artificial intelligence to show you important diagnostic and treatment information. For example, the clinician dashboard uses patient information to show you:
  • Possible diagnoses
  • Diagnostic tests that are related to the possible diagnoses
  • Clinical procedures that are related to the possible diagnoses

ezyVet automatically syncs the information that you enter in a patient’s clinical record to the clinician dashboard. And VETGENUS automatically syncs the information that you enter in the clinician dashboard to ezyVet. For example, if you enter the information in the History section of a patient’s clinical record, ezyVet automatically syncs the information to the PATIENT HISTORY section of the clinician dashboard.

The rounds tool

You can use the VETGENUS rounds tool to quickly and easily give other staff important information about a patient’s veterinary care.

Note: ezyVet automatically syncs each patient that has the In Waiting Room appointment status to VETGENUS. As a result, the rounds tool automatically shows each patient that has the In Waiting Room appointment status.
