PayJunction: Automatic reconciliation of payment card
types
A practice manager can configure automatic reconciliation of the payment
card types for a PayJunctionpayment method.
When a staff member receives a client payment, the client could use a different payment
card compared to the card of the payment method that a staff member selected in ezyVet. As a result of automatic reconciliation, ezyVet can automatically change the payment method to one
that has the correct card type.
After ezyVet completes an automatic reconciliation for a
client payment:
ezyVet records the change in the Change
Log tab of the payment
Applicable ezyVet reports show the change
Note: Applicable reports include the Payment Summary
report and End Of Day Wizard report.
A payment method has a Reconciles Payments setting in its
configuration. To configure automatic reconciliation of the payment card types, a
practice manager:
Sets Reconciles Payments to
YES.
Set Card Types to the payment card type of a different
payment method that ezyVet will automatically change
to

ExampleCallisto Vets uses the PayJunction terminal payments
integration. The practice manager makes a PayJunction
payment method named Mastercard that staff will use for terminal
payments. In the configuration of the payment method, the practice manager:
Sets Reconciles Payments to
YES
Sets Card Types to VISA
A client wants to make a payment of 20 dollars. To receive the payment, a staff
member selects the Mastercard payment method in ezyVet. But the client uses a Visa payment card at the payment terminal.
As a
result:
ezyVet knows that the payment card that the
client uses is applicable to a Visa payment
method
ezyVet automatically corrects the client payment
to use a Visa payment method
ezyVet records the change in the change log of
the payment record
