Settings of the Gribbles Veterinary integration that control automatic changes

A practice manager can configure the standard diagnostics integration (SDI) for Gribbles Veterinary to automatically change information that is related to the integration’s diagnostic tests. The automatic changes can help decrease the manual work that is necessary to keep accurate diagnostic tests and accurate cost information for your organization.

To configure automatic changes, use the settings that show in the Auto-update settings section of the integration settings screen:

Auto-update supplied diagnostic names when imported from web serviceIf you set Auto-update supplied diagnostic names when imported from web service to YES: ezyVet changes the names of its supplied diagnostic tests to the names of the related tests of the diagnostics supplier.
Auto-enable new supplied diagnostics when imported from web serviceIf you set Auto-enable new supplied diagnostics when imported from web service to YES: When the diagnostics supplier adds a new diagnostic test, ezyVet automatically makes it available as an enabled supplied diagnostic test.
If you set Auto-enable new supplied diagnostics when imported from web service to NO: When the diagnostics supplier adds a new diagnostic test, ezyVet automatically makes it available as a disabled supplied diagnostic test.
Note: If you set Auto-enable new supplied diagnostics when imported from web service to YES when you configure the integration for the first time, the integration enables all supplied diagnostic tests.
Auto-create products for supplied diagnosticsThe Auto-create products for supplied diagnostics setting has different functions for related conditions.
Condition 1:
  1. You set Auto-create products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  2. A supplied diagnostic test has a code that is not the same code as a diagnostic product
  3. The supplied diagnostic test does not have a relation to a diagnostic product
  4. A diagnostic product does not have a relation to the supplied diagnostic test
  5. The supplied diagnostic test is enabled
As a result, the integration:
  • Makes a diagnostic product
  • Makes a relation between the diagnostic product and the supplied diagnostic test
  • Sets the diagnostic product name to the name of the supplied diagnostic test
  • Sets the diagnostic product code to the code of the supplied diagnostic test
  • Sets the correct cost price of the diagnostic product
  • Sets the markup of the diagnostic product to the markup that is set in the integration
  • Sets the product group of the diagnostic product to the product group that is set in the integration
Condition 2:
  1. You set Auto-create products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  2. You set Update products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  3. The supplied diagnostic test has a code that is the same code of a product
  4. A supplied diagnostic test is enabled.
As a result, the integration:
  • Makes a diagnostic product
  • Makes a relation between the diagnostic product and the supplied diagnostic test
  • Sets the name of the diagnostic product to the name of the supplied diagnostic test
  • Sets the product group of the diagnostic product to the product group that is set in the integration
  • Sets the correct cost price of the diagnostic product
Condition 3:
  1. You set Auto-create products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  2. You set Update products for supplied diagnostics to NO.
  3. The supplied diagnostic test has a code that is the same code of a diagnostic product
  4. A supplied diagnostic test is enabled.

Result: The integration uses the diagnostic product to set the billing trigger of the supplied diagnostic test.

Note: The Auto-create products for supplied diagnostics cannot automatically make a diagnostic product for a custom supplied diagnostic test. You must:
  1. Manually make a diagnostic product for the custom supplied diagnostic test
  2. Manually configure the diagnostic product with the applicable cost information
  3. Manually make a relation between the diagnostic product and the custom supplied diagnostic test
Update products for supplied diagnosticsThe Update products for supplied diagnostics setting has different functions for related conditions.
Condition 1:
  1. You set Update products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  2. A diagnostic product and a supplied diagnostic test have the same code
  3. The diagnostics supplier changes the name, code, or price of the supplied diagnostic test
As a result, the integration:
  • Changes the name, code, or price of the diagnostic product
  • Sets the product group of the diagnostic product to the same product group configured in the integration
Condition 2:
  1. You set Update products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  2. A diagnostic product and the supplied diagnostic test do not have the same code
  3. The diagnostics supplier changes the name, code, or price of the supplied diagnostic test

Result: The integration does not change the name, code, or price of the diagnostic product.

Condition 3:
  1. You set Update products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  2. A diagnostic product and a supplied diagnostic test have the same code
  3. The diagnostics supplier disables or enables the supplied diagnostic test

Result: The integration disables or enables the diagnostic product.

Condition 4:
  1. You set Update products for supplied diagnostics to YES
  2. A diagnostic product and a supplied diagnostic test do not have the same code
  3. The diagnostics supplier disables or enables the supplied diagnostic test

Result: The integration does not disable or enable the diagnostic product.

Note: The Update products for supplied diagnostics setting cannot automatically change the information of a diagnostic product that has a relation with a custom supplied diagnostic test. You must:
  1. Manually change the product name and code
  2. Manually change the Type setting of the product
  3. Manually change the product group of the product
Update product cost for supplied diagnosticsThe Update product cost for supplied diagnostics setting has different functions for related conditions.
Condition 1:
  1. You set Update product cost for supplied diagnostics to YES.
  2. A diagnostic product has a relation to a supplied diagnostic test.
  3. The supplied diagnostic test has a relation to the same diagnostic product
  4. The diagnostics supplier changes the cost price of the supplied diagnostic test
Result: The integration changes the cost price of the diagnostic product.
Note: If the integration changes the cost price of the diagnostic product and the product is a fixed-price product:
  1. The markup of the diagnostic product changes
  2. The sell price of the diagnostic product does not change
Note: If the integration changes the cost price of the diagnostic product and the product is not a fixed-price product:
  1. The markup of the diagnostic product does not change
  2. The sell price of the diagnostic product changes
Condition 2:
  1. You set Update product cost for supplied diagnostics to YES.
  2. A diagnostic product has a relation to a custom supplied diagnostic test.
  3. The custom supplied diagnostic test has a relation to the same diagnostic product
  4. The custom supplied diagnostic test has a relation to a supplied diagnostic test
  5. The diagnostics supplier changes the cost price of the supplied diagnostic test
Result:
  1. The cost price of the custom supplied diagnostic test changes
  2. The cost price of the diagnostic product changes
    Note: If the integration changes the cost price of the diagnostic product and the product is a fixed-price product:
    1. The markup of the diagnostic product changes
    2. The sell price of the diagnostic product does not change
    Note: If the integration changes the cost price of the diagnostic product and the product is not a fixed-price product:
    1. The markup of the diagnostic product does not change
    2. The sell price of the diagnostic product changes
Condition 3:
  1. You set Update product cost for supplied diagnostics to YES.
  2. A diagnostic product has a relation to a custom supplied diagnostic test.
  3. The custom supplied diagnostic test has a relation to the same diagnostic product
  4. You add or remove a supplied diagnostic test of a custom supplied diagnostic test
  5. You save the changes that you made to the custom supplied diagnostic test
Result:
  1. The total cost of the custom supplied diagnostic test changes.
  2. The cost price of the diagnostic product changes
    Note: If the integration changes the cost price of the diagnostic product and the product is a fixed-price product:
    1. The markup of the diagnostic product changes
    2. The sell price of the diagnostic product does not change
    Note: If the integration changes the cost price of the diagnostic product and the product is not a fixed-price product:
    1. The markup of the diagnostic product does not change
    2. The sell price of the diagnostic product changes
Cost updates require approvalIf you set Cost updates require approval to YES, the integration does not automatically change diagnostic product pricing. You must use the Jobs dashboard tab to manually approve each price change of the diagnostic products.
