Send a diagnostic imaging request to IDEXX Web PACS

To use IDEXX Web PACS to do diagnostic imaging, you must send a diagnostic imaging request.You can also send an interpretation request to IDEXX Telemedicine at the same time.

  • Make sure that your ezyVet site has configured integrations for IDEXX Web PACS and IDEXX VetMedStat
  • Make sure that a practice manager did the necessary species and breed mapping for the IDEXX Web PACS integration
To send the requests, do this procedure.
  1. Select Clinical.

  2. In the left sidebar, find and select the applicable clinical record.

  3. Select Diagnostics and Treatments.

    Trouble: If ezyVet does not show the Diagnostics and Treatments button, select View By Group:

  4. Adjacent to Diagnostic Request, select the plus button.

    ezyVet shows a New Diagnostic Request dialog box.
  5. In the Vet box, select the applicable veterinarian.
    Note: If your site has a department configuration, make sure that you select the veterinarian of the correct department.
  6. In the Diagnostic Supplier box, select the supplier contact record for IDEXX Web PACS.
  7. In the Diagnostics boxes, select the diagnostic imaging type that you want.
  8. For each imaging type that you selected, select Interp. if you want an interpretation for it.

  9. Make remaining settings as necessary.
  10. Select Add.
    ezyVet shows a New Diagnostic Interpretation Request dialog box.
  11. In the History box, enter information about the case.
  12. In the Notes for specialist box, enter applicable information for the specialist.
  13. Make other settings as necessary (for example, set Priority, or set Service to a different type).

  • Sends the diagnostic imaging request to IDEXX Web PACS
  • Sends a related interpretation request to IDEXX Telemedicine

When imaging results are available in ezyVet, an IDEXX Telemedicine telemedicine specialist starts their analysis. When the specialist completes their analysis, the specialist report is available in the diagnostic result of the clinical record.
