About the VetSnap integration

VetSnap gives customers a controlled drug log that is fully online as a cloud app. The VetSnap controlled drug log helps you to keep controlled drug logs that are DEA-compliant.

Other VetSnap features include:
  • PMP Assistant, which helps with your State's mandatory reporting for dispensed medications
  • Dedicated hardware to control access to controlled drugs
After a practice manager configures the VetSnap integration, VetSnap automatically shows you applicable client and patient data that it synced from ezyVet. The applicable ezyVet data that VetSnap shows is:
  • Patient name
  • Patient code
  • Client name
  • Client code
  • Client address

When you use VetSnap to select a client code, VetSnap automatically selects all applicable client information and information about their patient to complete a drug log entry. If the client has many patients, you can select the applicable patient for the log entry. You can also select a patient code or a patient name to complete a log entry.

Controlled drug search

When you make an entry in VetSnap's controlled drug log, VetSnap automatically does a search of invoices of the applicable patient in ezyVet. Then, VetSnap compares the controlled drug quantity in the invoices with the quantity in the entry in its controlled drug log. If the quantities do not agree, VetSnap tells you. VetSnap also tells you if log entries do not have invoices and if invoices do not have log entries. As a result, you can do the necessary corrections and make sure that the controlled drug quantities are accurate.

Note: For correct operation of the VetSnap integration, VetSnap must initially have accurate records of the controlled drugs that you want to monitor. VetSnap customer support will help you make the initial records.
