Tell IDEXX customer support that you want the administrator permissions role for your MyIDEXX user account

A MyIDEXX user account can have an administrator permissions role for one or more organizations. If necessary, IDEXX customer support can set the permissions role for your user account.

Important: This procedure is only applicable if your organization does not have a record of a payment to IDEXX.
Tip: If a different person in your organization has the administrator permissions role, they can set the same permissions role for your MyIDEXX user account. As a result, it is not necessary to do this procedure.
  • Make sure that you are signed in to MyIDEXX
    Note: If you do not have a MyIDEXX user account, do the procedure given in Make a MyIDEXX user account.
  • Make sure that your MyIDEXX user account has a relation to an organization (for example, your veterinary practice)
To tell IDEXX customer support that you want the permissions role, do this procedure.
Note: This procedure tells IDEXX customer support that you want the administrator permissions role for one organization. But you can have the permissions role for each applicable organization that your MyIDEXX user account has a relation with. To have the permissions role for more than one organization, do this procedure for each applicable organization.
Note: If you have problems when you try to do this procedure, contact IDEXX customer support at 1-888-943-3993.
  1. Go to my.idexx.com.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Add/Remove business.

  3. Find the information of the organization that you want administrator permissions for.

  4. Adjacent to the applicable organization's information, select Make me an administrator.

  5. Select the primary type of work that you use IDEXX products and services for.

    If you use IDEXX products and services in a small animal hospital, select Small Animal and Equine Health.
  6. Adjacent to I am requesting that IDEXX grant me the role of MyIDEXX administrator, select the checkbox.
  7. Select Send request.

  1. You told IDEXX customer support that you want your MyIDEXX user account to have the administrator permissions role.
  2. IDEXX customer support does a check to know if your MyIDEXX user account can have the administrator permissions role.
    Note: During the check, it is possible that IDEXX customer support contacts you for more information.
  3. If IDEXX customer support gives approval:
    • Your MyIDEXX user account gets the administrator permissions role
    • You receive a confirmation email
