A clinical record has many different types of related records. For example, a clinical record has physical exam records, medication records, and assessment records. If necessary, a practice manager can configure an alternative name for a related record type. The practice manager uses the alternative name to show record names that are applicable to the work that their organization does.

To configure an alternative name, do this procedure.

Note: ezyVet shows a related record type of a clinical record in a dedicated section in the clinical record. For example, assessment records show in an Assessments section in a clinical record:

If you configure an alternative name for the record type, ezyVet replaces the section name that usually shows in the clinical record with the alternative name.

1. Select Admin.
   
2. In the settings list, select Settings.
   
3. Select Clinical.
   
4. Move down the page to the Clinical Record section.
   

   Note: The Clinical Record section shows the related record types of a clinical record.
5. Select the Use checkbox for the applicable record type.
   
6. In the box that is adjacent to the Use checkbox, enter the applicable alternative name.
   
7. Select Save.
