Recommended care badges

Recommended care badges help clients to quickly and easily know about standard of care for their pets. Care badges also help with better compliance for pet health.

Recommended care badges show in these locations in the Vello client portal:
  • In the Pet Information screen
  • In the home page
  • In the Recommended Care screen

Note: Recommended care badges are part of Vello's recommended care system.
Note: Recommended care badges are optional. And before Vello can show care badges, a practice manager must activate them.

The Vello client portal shows a recommended care badge with a gold, silver, or bronze color. To calculate the color, Vello uses the overdue medical services of a patient.

This table gives each care badge color and how Vello calculates it:

Care badge color and exampleHow Vello calculates the badge color
Gold
Example of a recommended care badge (gold)
A minimum of 90 percent of all medical services are completed. For example, if 12 medical services are applicable to a patient, a gold care badge identifies that all 12 medical services are completed.
Silver
Example of a recommended care badge (silver)
Between 60 percent and 90 percent of medical services are completed. For example:
  1. 12 medical services are applicable to a patient
  2. Four of the medical services are overdue
  3. As a result, the care badge color is silver
Bronze
Example of a recommended care badge (bronze)
More than 40 percent of medical services are overdue. For example:
  1. 12 medical services are applicable to a patient
  2. 11 of the medical services are overdue
  3. As a result, the care badge color is bronze
