About recommended care

Vello's recommended care feature makes it easy for clients to get access to recommended medical services for their pets.

Recommended care information is available to clients from the Pet Information screen in the Vello client portal. To get access to recommended care, a client first selects the Recommended Care button that shows in the Pet Information screen:

The Recommended Care screen that the client portal shows as a result includes:
  • The names of medical services
  • Price estimates (optional)
  • Due dates for the medical services

If a client selects a medical service, the client portal shows more information about it. The information includes:
  • Doctor's notes
  • Optional educational content about the medical service (for example, information about why the medical service is important and links to educational content)
  • An optional Request an Appointment button that a client can select to make an appointment request

Vello's source of recommended care informationCopy

Vello syncs recommended care information from standard-of-care tables in ezyVet:

Note: Vello only syncs medical services from ezyVet that are less than three years overdue. If a medical service for a patient that is in ezyVet is more than three years overdue, Vello does not sync it from ezyVet.
