Release notes (SmartFlow iPad app): version 17.9.6
SmartFlow iPad app version 17.9.6 is available from September, 2026.
New: New Fluids in anesthetic sheets
You can add a New Fluids treatment to an anesthetic sheet in the SmartFlow iPad app. In an anesthetic sheet, a New Fluids treatment has these differences:
- You select the start time in steps of 5 minutes.
- The treatment does not have an end time. It continues until you stop it.
- Do the start task first. Then, you can change the rate or pause the treatment at this time. You can also record a check.
- When you continue a paused treatment, SmartFlow enters the rate from before the pause.
- The anesthesia timeline shows the treatment as a line. Markers on the line show when the rate changes, and when the treatment pauses or stops.
- The anesthetic sheet PDF shows the rate and the initials in each cell that you completed.
- When you finish the anesthetic sheet, SmartFlow stops all New Fluids treatments that did not stop.
For more information, refer to New Fluids in anesthetic sheets.
Fixes
After synchronization, a whiteboard refreshes only the patient rows and treatment cells that changed. Previously, the whiteboard refreshed all its patient rows after each synchronization, at intervals of approximately 30 seconds. As a result, patient photos blinked, and treatment cells showed the colors of a different patient for a short time.
Medications that you give before you start anesthesia show in the anesthetic sheet and the anesthetic sheet PDF. They also show in the flowsheet for the SmartFlow web app. Previously, these premedications and other medications did not show, and the iPad app could stop.
When you enter values for Monitoring treatment tasks, SmartFlow records each value in the correct row. Previously, a value could go into the row of a different treatment.
The full-screen Notes screen opens with an empty note row and the date of the note. Previously, the screen opened with no rows.
The iPad app does not stop when you open a record that did not complete synchronization.
