Release notes: ezyVet version 41.1

Read about changes in ezyVet version 41.1.

New

New user account permission: Administration > Product > Change Cost Price When Receiving Invoice. A user account with the permission can change the cost price of a product that a received invoice includes.

When an ezyVet site upgrades to version 41.1, ezyVet automatically adds Administration > Product > Change Cost Price When Receiving Invoice to a user account if one of these conditions agree:
  • The user account had the Administration > Product > Change Sell Price When Receiving Invoice permission before their site upgraded to version 41.1
  • The user account had these permissions before their site upgraded to version 41.1:
    • Administration > Product > Edit Products
    • Administration > Product > View Cost Price
The Records dashboard tab has a new Card Brand filter. Use the Card Brand filter to show only payment records that use a given card brand.

Changes

Changed text in many areas of the ezyVet user interface:
  • Changed the name of the record tab that you use to make a department from New Division to New Department
  • In the Settings list of the Admin primary tab, changed text from Location to Inventory Locations
  • Changed the name of a column in financial records from Location to Inventory Location
  • Changed the name of a box in inventory count records from Location to Inventory Location
  • Changed text in error messages from location to inventory location
  • Changed text in error messages from stock location to inventory location
  • Changed the name of a column in the Ordering tab of inventory threshold records from Stock Location to Inventory Location
  • Changed the name of a box in inventory transfer records from Source Location to Source Inventory Location
  • Changed the name of a box in inventory transfer records from Destination Location to Destination Inventory Location
  • Changed the name of a column in the Receive Invoice Items report from Stock Location to Inventory Location
  • Record tabs for these record types show the name of the record, not Edit Location:
    • Business units
    • Databases
    • Departments
    • Inventory locations

Removed template variables that did not have a function.

If you configure ezyVet's e-booking system for more than one department, ezyVet makes a different web address for each department's e-booking system. As a result, it is not necessary for clients to select a department when they use your organization's e-booking system.
Note: This change is only applicable to ezyVet sites that use a department configuration.
You can configure your ezyVet site's e-booking system to operate with Google Analytics.Added the Editable setting to the Animal section and the Contact section of your ezyVet site's e-booking settings. A practice manager can use the Editable setting to configure if a customer can change the applicable information (for example, patient microchip numbers).

Fixes

Appointment Status report: Corrected a problem that caused the Appointment Date/Time column to show incorrect appointment times.

Boarding report: Corrected a problem that caused the output of the report to show incorrect dates of boarding appointments.

Appointment Type report: Corrected a problem that caused the output of the report to show the appointments of the day after the date that you selected.

If a communication task makes a communication record that has the Pending status, the Communication dashboard tab shows a red color.

ezyVet shows correct output for these template variables:
  • {AnimalBCS}
  • {AnimalDS}
  • {AnimalPS}

If your ezyVet site uses single sign-on (SSO), you can select a staff member in an applicable user interface box.

If a staff member has a sending email address with @ezyvet.com or @idexx.com at the end, you can select them in an applicable user interface box.
Important: ezyVet customer support does not recommend that customers use a sending email address that ends with @ezyvet.com or @idexx.com. Use a sending email address with an email inbox that you have access to. As a result, you can receive replies to emails that you use ezyVet to send.

You can disable a product record that has a relation with an unapproved invoice line item of an approved invoice.

Corrected problems with automatic changes to supplied diagnostic tests of IDEXX Reference Laboratories and Antech. The problems occurred when an applicable ezyVet site upgraded to version 40.9. If a diagnostics supplier changed the initial cost of a supplied diagnostic test, the problems caused ezyVet to:
  • Incorrectly make a copy of the related diagnostic product
  • Incorrectly add the copy of the diagnostic product as a billing trigger to the record of the supplied diagnostic test
In version 41.1, ezyVet automatically:
  • Disables incorrect copies of diagnostic products that ezyVet made in version 40.9
  • Removes billing triggers that use the incorrect copies of diagnostic products that ezyVet made in version 40.9
If a practice manager uses the CVS file upload method to change product pricing and:
  1. A practice manager configured product pricing for each department or business unit
  2. A practice manager disabled a pricing line of a department

ezyVet automatically changes the price of the disabled pricing line.
