Configuration of organization email addresses

About organization email addresses that ezyVet can use to send email

Email messages that staff use ezyVet to send can use the email addresses of your organization (for example, the email address of a department or business unit). A practice manager can configure which organization email addresses ezyVet uses to send email.

To do the configuration, a practice manager uses the Sending Email Address system setting:
The Sending Email Address setting
This table gives each setting and function of the Sending Email Address setting:

DatabaseezyVet uses the email address that a practice manager configured for the site.
Note: For example:
  1. Your user account email address is christina@callistovets.com
  2. You set the Send Email Using setting of your user account to Business Email

Result: ezyVet always uses info@callistovetsinc.com to send email.

Business Unit (BU)ezyVet uses the email address that a practice manager configured for the business unit.

If you sign in to a department of the business unit, ezyVet continues to use the email address of the business unit.

If you sign in to the database, ezyVet uses the email address of the business unit that a practice manager selected in the Sub Entities system setting.

Note: For example:
  1. Your user account email address is christina@callistovets.com
  2. You set the Send Email Using setting of your user account to Business Email
  3. The business unit email address is info@callistovetsnorth.com
  4. You sign in to the business unit
Result:
  • ezyVet automatically selects info@callistovetsnorth.com as the email address to send email messages
  • If you sign in to a department of the business unit, ezyVet automatically selects info@callistovetsnorth.com as the email address to send email messages
  • If you select a different business unit before you send the message, ezyVet uses the email address of the different business unit
DepartmentezyVet uses the email address that a practice manager configured for the department.
Note: For example:
  1. Your user account email address is christina@callistovets.com
  2. You set the Send Email Using setting of your user account to Business Email
  3. The department email address is info@callistovetsbotany.com
  4. You sign in to the department
Result:
  • ezyVet automatically selects info@callistovetsbotany.com as the email address to send email messages
  • If you select a different department before you send the message, ezyVet uses the email address of the different department
Specified Department, BU, or DatabaseezyVet uses the email address that a practice manager configured for the department, or the business unit, or the database.
Note: For example:
  1. Your user account email address is christina@callistovets.com
  2. You set the Send Email Using setting of your user account to Business Email
  3. The department email address is info@callistovetsbotany.com
  4. The business unit email address is info@callistovetsnorth.com
Result:
  • If you sign in to the department, ezyVet automatically selects info@callistovetsbotany.com as the email address to send email messages
  • If you sign in to the business unit.ezyVet automatically selects info@callistovetsnorth.com as the email address to send email messages
