Clients cannot enter the necessary number of characters in a document text box

Do this troubleshooting when a document is in presenting mode and a client cannot enter the necessary number of characters in a text box:
A text box of a document that is in presenting mode

The text box does not have a sufficient Maximum Characters valueCopy

Each text box of a document template has a Maximum Characters value. The value controls the maximum number of characters that a client can enter in the text box.

Correct the text box when you make a documentCopy

Note: This is a temporary solution only. For a permanent solution, refer to Correct the source document template.
  1. Make a document from the applicable document template.
  2. Make sure that the document is not in presenting mode.
  3. Double-click the applicable text box.

    ezyVet shows the Text Field Properties dialog box.
  4. Increase the value shown in the Maximum Characters box.
  5. Select OK.

  6. Select Save.

Correct the source document templateCopy

A practice manager or a person with the necessary administrator permissions must do these steps.

  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin tab
  2. In the settings list, select Templates.
    The Templates setting in the settings list
  3. Select Document Templates.
    The Document Templates setting
    ezyVet shows the configured document templates of your site.
  4. Find and select the applicable document template.
    ezyVet shows the settings of the template.
  5. Double-click the applicable text box.

  6. Increase the value shown in the Maximum Characters box.
  7. Select OK.

  8. Select Save.
