The right sidebar of the form designer has buttons that you can use to open settings for different parts of a form (for example, form questions or form pages).

General settings

Use general settings to make changes to the general functions of a form and its questions.

General settings are available for:
  • The form
  • A question
  • A form page
  • A question that uses the Panel input type
Examples of what you can do with the general settings:
  • Do not show the form title
  • Configure the form to fill the width of the screen
  • Do not show one or more questions
  • Make a question mandatory
  • Change the input type of a question
Note: The general settings include Select a form language. But English is the only language that Vello can use for forms.

Use navigation settings to control how clients go to different parts of the form.

Navigation settings are available for:
  • The form
  • A form page
Examples of what you can do with the navigation settings:
  • Show all form questions in one form page
  • Show only one form question in one form page
  • Configure the form to automatically go to from one page to the next page
  • Show a table of contents

Input type settings

Use input type settings to control how clients can use an input type that you added to a form question.

For example, if you open the input type settings for a question that uses the Radio Button Group input type, the form designer shows settings to:
  • Enter or change the name of each option
  • Set option conditions (for example, show an option if a set of conditions agree)
  • Change the option sequence
  • Activate options that show Other or None

Question settings

Use question settings to make changes to a form question.

Examples of what you can do with the question settings:
  • Make changes to a question name or question title
  • Make a question mandatory
  • Do not show a question
  • Change the input type of a question

Layout settings

Use layout settings to control how and where the form shows a question. Examples of what you can use the settings to do include:
  • Adjust the text indent
  • Adjust the text alignment for the question title
  • Adjust the the width of the area that shows the question

Thank-you page settings

Use the thank-you page settings to control the thank-you page. The thank-you page shows after a client completes a form.

Examples of what you can do with the thank-you page settings:
  • Configure the text shown after a client completes a form
  • Configure the text shown if a client previously completed the form
