Vello release notes: October 12, 2026

Read about features and changes in Vello.

New

The Appointment Review screen replaces the Unconfirmed Appointments screen. You can use the Appointment Review screen to easily monitor confirmed and unconfirmed appointments of one day. Previously, practices could change between the two screens.

This version of Vello has IDEXX templates that you can use for Vello campaigns. In the New campaign dialog box, you can select a template to show in the content builder. Then, you can make changes to the email before you send the campaign.

Changes for Vello campaigns

When a campaign email shows the practice phone number, a client can select the number with a mobile device to call the practice. Previously, it was necessary to copy the number or to enter it in the phone app.

The locked section of a new campaign email has a Privacy Policy link adjacent to the Unsubscribe link. A client can select the link to open the IDEXX privacy policy.

Note: A campaign email that you saved before this change keeps its locked section.

When you save changes to a scheduled campaign, Vello shows a Save as draft dialog box. The dialog box tells you that the campaign moves back to drafts and that Vello does not send it at the scheduled time. To keep the campaign scheduled, select Keep schedule. Previously, Vello moved the campaign back to drafts with no message.

Changes for the Forms screen

When you archive a form that appointment types use, Vello shows a message that names the applicable appointment types. If you archive the form with no replacement, clients do not get a form for these appointment types. To move the appointment types to a different published form, use Replace with… and then select Replace and archive. Previously, Vello archived the form with no message.

Changes for the Vello client portal

Vello shows the Test Results button only when a client has a pet with a shared diagnostic result. After you share a result, the button shows to clients and continues to show. Previously, if a client did not have a shared diagnostic result for a pet, the button showed in the client portal.

The Appointment Details screen shows clients a banner if they must complete a form before their appointment. The client can select the banner to get access to the first form. When a client completes each necessary form, Vello does not show the banner.

When a client has an appointment scheduled, the Vello client portal does not show a message that tells clients to add a pet photo. Previously, the message showed in the home page.
