Vello inbox: Conversation tags

You can add conversation tags to text conversations in the Vello inbox (for example, Canine, Grooming, and Urgent).

Note: Conversation tags is a beta feature and is only available for specified customers. If you want to try the beta feature, send an email to vello-product-team@idexx.com.
Conversation tags make it easy for staff members and teams to:
  • Know if a text conversation is applicable to them
  • Find applicable conversations in the Vello inbox
  • Complete necessary tasks that are related to a conversation

Conversation tags

This table shows the general tasks to use tags:

Make a tagTo make a tag:
  1. In the applicable text conversation in the Vello inbox, select the plus button
  2. In the Search tags box, enter the tag name
  3. Select Create new tag
As a result, Vello adds the new tag to the text conversation. And the tag shows as available in the Filters section.

Add a tag to a text conversationTo add a tag, select the plus button and find the applicable tag. Then, select the tag.
Note: You can add more than one tag to a text conversation.

Find applicable conversations in the Vello inboxTo find applicable conversations:
  1. Select Filters
  2. In the TAGS section, select the applicable tags
As a result, Vello shows only the applicable text conversations in the Vello inbox.

Change the name of a tagTo change the name of a tag:
  1. Select the plus button in a text conversation
  2. Hover over the applicable tag
  3. Select the pencil button
  4. Make the name changes
  5. Select the checkmark
Remove a tagTo remove a tag:
  1. Select the plus button in a text conversation
  2. Hover over the applicable tag
  3. Select the trash can
Callisto Vets has a grooming team. When Callisto Vets receives a text message from a client about grooming, staff can add a Grooming tag to the text conversation. Then, when a staff member in the grooming team uses the Vello inbox, they select the tag. As a result, Vello only shows conversations that are applicable to their team.
