Configuration settings for recommended care
The Recommended Care screen gives access to configuration settings that control recommended care information.
The Recommended Care screen has a Care Services section. The section has a list of medical services and information about how Vello uses the medical service to show recommended care to clients.
This table gives information about each column shown in the Care Services section:

| Service | The Service column shows the name of the medical service. Vello syncs the medical service name from ezyVet. |
| Client-Friendly Name | The Client-Friendly Name column shows an alternative name for the medical service. It is usually a name that makes it easy for clients to know about the medical service. The alternative name shows to clients in the client portal. Note: For example, FeLV is a possible name for a medical service that Vello syncs from ezyVet. To make it easier for clients, you can set an alternative name of Feline Leukemia Vaccination. The alternative name is what the client portal shows to clients. |
| Price | Price shows a price estimate for the medical service. A price estimate can help a client prepare for the medical service. |
| Requests | If Requests shows Enabled, the client portal shows a Request an Appointment button for the medical service. |
| Care Score | If Care Score shows Included, Vello includes the medical service in care scores that it calculates and shows in the client portal. |
| Show | If you activate Show, the medical service shows to clients as a recommended care item in the client portal. If you deactivate Show, Vello removes the medical service from view for clients. |
Medical service settings
Each medical service entry in the Care Services section has an Edit button that gives access to configuration settings for recommended care. The image and table that follow give information about each setting and its function.

| 1 | Client-Friendly Name | Use Client-Friendly Name to set an alternative name for the medical service. The alternative name shows to clients in the client portal. It is usually a name that makes it easy for clients to know about the medical service. |
| 2 | Price | Use Price to set a price estimate for the medical service. A price estimate can help a client prepare for the medical service. You can set one price for the medical service or a price range. Or you can configure the medical service to not show a price. |
| 3 | Care Score Contribution | To include the medical service in care scores that Vello calculates and shows in the client portal, set Care Score Contribution to Contributes to care score. |
| 4 | Doctor's Note | Use Doctor's Note to enter instructions that help clients to know if the medical service is recommended or necessary. |
| 5 | Education | Use Education to enter educational content about the medical service. The educational content helps clients to know why the medical service is important for their pets. Tip: To quickly and easily add educational content to the Education box, select Add Pre-Made Content, then select a template: After you use Add Pre-Made Content to add educational content, you can make more changes to the content. Tip: You can add links to educational content in the Education box. |
| 6 | Include a 'Request Appointment' button | If you select Include a 'Request Appointment' button, the client portal shows a Request an Appointment button for the medical service. |
Educational content links
You can add links to educational content in the Education box of a medical service . Links can show as full web addresses or as text.
