Online booking: Configure a visit type to use appointment requests

After a practice manager does the necessary configuration for a visit type, clients can use Vello client portal to make appointment requests.

To configure a visit type, do this procedure.
  1. Open Vello from ezyVet.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Appointment Booking.
    Note: If the left sidebar is closed, select the appointment booking button:

  3. In the Preferred Booking Method section, select Change.

  4. Select Online Booking.
  5. In the Appointment Types section, select the pencil button for the applicable visit type.

    Note: If Vello does not have the applicable visit type, select Create New to make one.
  6. If you want to change the name of the visit type, use the Client-Friendly Appointment Name box.

  7. In the Online Booking Type section, select Appointment Requests.
  8. In the Patient Eligibility section, use the filters to control if a client can make an appointment.
  9. In the Minimum booking notice section, enter a minimum time before a client can make an appointment in days, hours, or weeks.
    The time is 9:00 AM. One appointment is available at 11:00 AM and you you set Notice required to 1 Hours. As a result a client can make an appointment for 11:00 AM only before 10:00 AM.
  10. In the Configure Availability section, select Manual Configuration.
  11. Set Default Appointment Length to the applicable time.
  12. In the Days section, set available time ranges for each day.

    Tip: You can set more than one time range for one day.
  13. In the Provider Availability section, select the staff members and rooms that you want to make available.

    Note: If you do not want a staff member to show as available for appointments, deactivate the Enable setting for the applicable staff member.
  14. Select Done.

  15. Select Publish Changes.

Clients can make appointment requests for the visit type in the client portal.
You can do this procedure again to configure other visit types to use appointment requests. For example, you can do the procedure again for sick visits.
