About the VetSnap integration

VetSnap gives customers a controlled drug log that is fully online. The VetSnap controlled drug log helps you to keep accurate records about how your organization uses controlled drugs. For example, you can use the controlled drug log to easily know the quantity of controlled drugs that you give to your patients.

After a practice manager configures the VetSnap integration:
  • VetSnap automatically shows you applicable patient data and client data from ezyVet when you make an entry in the controlled drug log
  • VetSnap automatically enters other applicable data after you make a selection

For example, when you start to enter a patient name in VetSnap’s user interface, it automatically shows you the possible patient names that are in ezyVet’s patient records. If you select the applicable patient name, VetSnap uses the patient record information to also enter the patient code and client name.

VetSnap can automatically show you these items of data from ezyVet:
  • Patient name
  • Patient code
  • Client name
  • Client code
  • Client address

Controlled drug search

When you make an entry in VetSnap's controlled drug log, VetSnap automatically does a search of invoices of the applicable patient in ezyVet. If VetSnap finds information about the controlled drug in the invoices:
  1. VetSnap compares the controlled drug quantity in the invoices with the quantity in the entry in its controlled drug log
  2. VetSnap tells you if the quantities do not agree
As a result, you can do the necessary corrections and make sure that the controlled drug quantities are accurate.
Note: For correction operation of the VetSnap integration, VetSnap must initially have accurate records of the controlled drugs that you want to monitor. VetSnap customer support will help you make the initial records.
